The Child and Adolescent Functional Assessment Scale (CAFAS) allows the
clinician to objectively assess the degree of impairment in school-aged youth
with emotional, behavioral, psychiatric, or substance use problems. Use of the
CAFAS will enhance the ability of Psychologists, Counselors and Social Workers to
identify the types and degrees of functional impairments, making it a valuable
clinical tool. This online seminar provides detailed training on the uses of
the CAFAS; the guidelines and scoring principals as well as a complete
explanation of the scoring of each of the subscales. This online training
includes interactive quizzes on each subscale, opportunities for the
participants to ask questions and engage in practice exercises. Training/scoring
guidelines, tips and strategies will be presented. Participants can anticipate
passing Reliability testing and becoming a confident trainer. Who should
attend: Social Workers, Psychologists, or other staff who will be training
others in CAFAS.
