This virtual class is the first part of the ARC First Aid/CPR/AED 2-year certification process. These virtual classes will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays, and are approximately 3 hours long, instructor-led, knowledge-based, with videos and discussion. Participants attend this class via Teams: log into NoC, find a class with open seats to attend on the homepage schedule, register for this class and then, a business day or two prior to the session, a Teams invite is sent out.
Once this virtual portion has been completed, participants are required to attend a ~25 minute, 1:1 in-person, hands-on skills appointment with an instructor on the Thursday and Friday of the same week. Participants will receive an email after the virtual class with a link to the applicable SharePoint calendar in Outlook so that they can schedule an appointment. They will also receive instruction about this process during the virtual class.
Once and only when the participant has completed both the virtual and the in-person skills portions, will they then be registered and resolved by the instructor in the regular NoC ARC First Aid/CPR/AED course as well as entered into the Red Cross database, paid for and then they will receive their 2-year certification.
