Description:
A program with major focus on assisting and training individuals with DD to maintain self control. Participant skill ability checklist required prior to participation in personal physical interventions taught in the curriculum. Participants will demonstrate and practice verbal and non-verbal techniques with personal interventions and de-escalation techniques.
Objective:
To provide staff with training in the prevention of crisis and the appropriate and safe use of physical intervention.
Intended Audience:
All staff working with consumers with developmental disabilities.
